Come all Ye' Faithful... and tell us how God has answered

prayer.. billions of people have been praying for hundreds of years for peace.

other billions pray for happiness for mankind.

not one evidence exists that he hears or that he cares.. can anyone provide solid evidence that god answers prayers.

Myth - The Bible claims to be inspired by God

the bible has 66 books (more if you're catholic, less if you're jewish), and multiple authors.

some of these authors claimed that some of what they wrote down was inspired by god.

that's hardly enough for someone to conclude that the bible claims inspiration for all of the words written by the multiple authors who were involved with writing "it" over the centuries.. .

Tricky one this - no-one can prove this claim is a myth. But also no-one can claim absolutely that the claim is true.

It boils down to opinion and faith.

To me passages of the bible seem to demonstrate an intelligence higher than human - the bible is truly unique.

This is tricky - so many good ones but I will go with Heaven and Hell.

jehovahs day comes at this moment and u realize u were in the right place but because of leaving you are now doomed.

would everything gained (temporary) enjoyment worth it?.

I never left the truth - technically I was never in the truth.

But I was a jehovah's witness for 37 years - saw the light - and escaped.

Song titles in the new song book

i have not seen the new song book yet, since i have not managed to ever set foot in a kingdom hall, and i got to wondering about them.

it seems that jws have this need to speak in secret code so that they stand apart from christians, and i was thinking it might find its way into the song book.

so i was wondering what the song titles would be like.

Some of my personal favourites from the new song book are

Failed Prophecy – we did it again.

Clap your hands its Armageddon.

Knock Knock – guess who’s there?

Smile – destruction is near.

Stay awake - at the convention.

Judicial committees – feel the love.

The ministry – it’s better than walking the streets.

Satan does not like Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Internet – evil at your fingertips.

The world outside will kill you.

The bread and wine is not for you.

Well my "winter' yard decorations have caught the Elders attention !!!!!

wow i guess the elders still do exisist !

i wasn't sure since they have only stopped by once in the last almost four yrs.. here is what has them all in a tissy........ i guess the lighted deer and lights on the railing screams christmas .....i was going for cheerful winter ,guess i overshot.. .

why did I not heed the warning? I knew the hard drive was on its way out.....let this be a warning

i heard the tell tale clattering noises..... yet...did i bother to back anything up...noooooo.

did i go to the store and buy that external hard drive with the automatic back up software?.....noooooo.

yep...hard drive crashed....data unrecoverable (probably is recoverable but for what cost?..

Take your hard drive and put it into the freezer - thats right - in the freezer.

Let is get covered in frosty ice particles.

Then take it out and plug it straight back in to a PC/Laptop or via a USB interface cable. It wont give you long but perhaps long enough to recover some data.

The cold makes the Hard Drives platters contract slightly allowing the reader to do its job - as its heats up they start to expand again and the reader starts to touch the platters - which is almost certainly the problem with your drive - the reader should never actually have physical contact with the platters.
